As you all know very well, I love fashion (No shit, Sherlock). Well, I wanted to find a way where I can openly speak about my love for it and also find people who love fashion as much as I do. I didn't know how to do that. I was reading Teen Vogue one faithful day when Lourdes Leon (Madonna's daughter) said that her favorite blog was www.manrepeller.com
I was curious to find out what it was about. The title really caught my eye. Man repeller. I was like: What could this mean? So I search the page and it was a blog lead by Miss Leandra Medine. I was looking around her page and reading her posts and I instantly fell in love! Why? Well there's many reasons. One: I love how she speaks so freely and normal! Sometimes some blogs are quite stiff and cold. No! Leandra speaks clear and with a sense of humor, seriously this girl makes me laugh on a daily basis. Two: She's a man repeller. What is a man repeller? Well quoting Leandra a man repeller is "outfitting oneself in a sartorially offensive way that will result in repelling members of the opposite sex. This includes but not limited to harem pants, boyfriend jeans, overalls (see: human repelling), shoulder pads, full length jumpsuits, jewelry that resembles violent machinery and clogs." So basically it's wearing things that you like but your boyfriend doesn't. That's totally genius. Three: She coined the term "arm party" which consists on wearing a bunch of bracelts, bands, cuffs, etc. on your arm. Four: She's hilarious!! I've seen interviews of her and she's so funny! You should seriously check it out! So to conclude, I urge you and implore you to check her blog. You won't be sorry at all and who know? Maybe you'll turn into a full fledged man repeller ;) Take care!
