Proud.

So I want all of you to know that I'm Puerto Rican! And quite proud to be. It's a great little island with big things going on in it. This post is not me talking on and on on how Puerto Rico was discovered and whatnot. But if you want to know, you can ask :D What I want to talk about is the fashion here in Puerto Rico. There are many well known designers from here and that have made themselves known to the world with their hard work and their total devotion to the art. So I'm going to mention a few and a little bit about them. Lets go:

First we have Carlos Alberto. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he's one of the best couture designers at the moment. He studied design at Carlota Alfaro's Institute. He then became a professor at this institute. His style is elegance, very feminine with a classic touch. Known as the "Designer of the Queens", his hardwork and dedication have led him to be recognize in beauty pageants. He's the first Puerto Rican designer to be part of Trump Organization, which is in charge of the dresses for up coming pageants. He's participated in many fashion weeks such as New York and Orlando, also in many other events.

Next is Carlota Alfaro. This lady is like Superwoman, I swear. She has 60 years of experience in design and 45 years as a professor of couture design in Puerto Rico. She may be the most recognized Puerto Rican designer, known for her classy designs with elegance. She reached fame in the 60's in Europe, Latin America and United States, also she created her institute very well named: Carlota Alfaro. Her speciality is couture and she's received many awards for the excellent designer and innovative person she is.

Lastly is David Antonio. Born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico. He started his career working prĂȘt-a-porter for many years. He also worked for Carlota Alfaro. See? She's Superwoman! He's known for being very free with his designs and not afraid to take risks. He's expanded his market in places like Spain, Japan, Mexico, Venezuela, and others. He's a favorite to many interanational figures.

Now, there are many more designers and I'll be talking about them very soon so keep an eye out! If you have any questions about these designers or about Puerto Rico, don't be shy! Ask away :)  I would also love is you could all search for more information on these amazing people! They really are great and their stories are amazing so please check it out! Ok so I'm done here. Take care readers!
