Hello, hello, hello! I hope you're all doing great! I sure am. Not much to say, just that I'm enjoying my vacations while they last! I'm very excited to write this post. Why? Haute Freaking Couture! Yup. It's time to talk about some of my faves from some of my favorite designers. So here we go:
Let us start with Chanel Haute Couture. This was a very mellow collection, very ethereal and soft. The first look: I really love the pattern of the outfit. It's gorgeous and it just looks well made. The second look: I LOVE the dress. It's different, quirky and the textures are fabulous. The third look: I don't know why I like this look so much. It's very zealous and loud, but at the same time very mute. The fourth look: THAT DRESS. I was literally with my mouth open and the angels sang when this dress came out. I would not mind getting married in this dress.
So we shall continue with Dior Haute Couture. We all know that this was Raf Simmons debut collection with Dior and everybody was talking. Literally EVERYBODY. I have zero complaints about this show. Why? Because people keep expecting a John Galliano inspired collection and they come out uninspired. They need to realize that this is a different designer with a different vision. So I was really proud of what Raf did with this collection. The first look: The fabric looks AMAZING! The use of colors on the dress is mind blowing. The second look: It's a very professional look with a glamorous twist. The belt and the collar are great! The third look: Beautiful dress! You can see the work and craftsmanship that went into this dress. The fourth look: The most perfect look ever! You can never go wrong with black but this looks so well made. And the belt definitely makes it pop. It makes the dress from day to night.
Next up is Armani Prive Haute Couture. It was a very dark collection. A collection that had something to say. Lots of black and dark blues. A word to describe this collection is majestic. The first look: Dark but incorporates color. Also love the plunging neckline. The second look: What a gorgeous dress. The V shape is so great on the dress, it's making a statement. The third look: I adore the pattern on this dress. It's look so soft and whimsical. The fourth look: Hands down, my favorite. The stripes are so strong and harsh.
Elie Saab Haute Couture: my favorite collection. Elie Saab always delivers. The collection was magical, beautiful and I have to admit, it made my cry. Call me pathetic. I don't care. This is art. The first look: The color is just breathtaking. I'm also a sucker for the long sleeves. The second look: It's a very sultry dress. It pushes so much boundaries and that's why I love it. The third look: MY FAVORITE DRESS IN THIS WHOLE WORLD. What an absolute delight is this dress. The sleeves, the belt, the slit, EVERYTHING IS PERFECTION. Sorry for screaming. The fourth look: Another fabulous look. It's a dress with attitude and glamour. Again those sleeves...Love.
Last but not at all least, Giambattista Valli Haute Couture. I always love Valli's couture collections and this one did not disappoint me. The nets with the butterflies were genius! I swear, Valli thinks of everything to bring us something new and fresh, also something we've never seen. The first look: The pattern is great. The mixing of the greens and purples and golds: gorge! The second look: This is red carpet waiting to happen. I hope someone takes a risk and uses this dress because it's beautiful. The third look: The different shades of red are great, also the peplum looks crazy amazing! The fourth look: Beautiful, young, quirky. I would wear this dress. The top is mesmerizing and the flower pattern: I want to marry it.
So this is my opinion on these collections. So I want to hear about your opinion! Which of these collection were your favorite? And which was your single favorite? Also is there any other designer that you liked? Please don't be shy and comment away. Take care, xoxo.
